We treat information about the genes, gene lists, files, networks, and other subjects you research as sensitive.

We use your data only to provide the product features you request and to investigate technical errors. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to profile your research interests.

We do not record gene identifiers, gene symbols, gene-list identifiers, uploaded gene-file contents, saved-query names, or exact research searches in routine application logs, analytics, or metrics.

When an operation fails, limited diagnostic information—including the identifier involved—may be recorded so that we can investigate and correct the problem. Access to this information is restricted to authorized personnel and used only for troubleshooting.

We may collect content-free operational metrics, such as request counts, processing times, error rates, and the number of genes processed. These metrics are used to operate and improve the reliability of the product.

Saved queries are stored only when you choose to save them. A saved query may include genes, gene lists, uploaded files, networks, thumbnails, and visualization settings. When you delete a saved query, its associated data is permanently removed from our active systems.

When you delete an uploaded file, the file and its filename are permanently removed from our active systems.

When your account is deleted, saved queries and uploaded files are deleted, and account preferences, workflow state, and last-login information are cleared. Limited non-research activity records may be retained where required for security, auditing, or legal obligations.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups expire under our standard retention schedule. It is not restored except as part of disaster recovery.
