Functional Annotation

functional annotation assigns sample categories to the edges within the graph by plotting the average weighted correlation coefficient of each edge to the variable datasets containing data from different sample groups, such as biopsy sites, cell types, or diseases this helps the user understand how different sample groups contribute to the graph processes by selecting one edge, the values for that edge will be highlighted in the figure for each sample category, detailed information is also given to the top contributing data sources if choosing data source in the drop down menu, detailed information is given about the data, such as number of samples, variable category inclusions, and a summary about the data this will be helpful to gain a deeper understanding of the data behind the connections
