in the top left corner of the canvas is the highlight function, which lets you highlight genes based on selected filters, such as mavatar modules, rare diseases, diseases, gene types, or go terms you can select multiple filters across one or more categories, and control how they combine using the dropdown next to "highlight genes that match" all — a gene is highlighted only if it matches every selected filter any — a gene is highlighted if it matches at least one selected filter grouped (default) — a gene is highlighted if it matches at least one selected filter in every category where you've made a selection you can also toggle the switch to highlight network communities, detected using the leiden algorithm in neo4j https //neo4j com/docs/graph data science/current/algorithms/leiden/ this may be helpful to identify closely connected genes within large graphs this highlighting feature makes it easier to identify genes of particular interest to you to remove all selections, click clear
